What eventually became Tendaly.ai did not begin with procurement. It began with a question that kept disturbing us for months.
How do you make artificial intelligence matter in a place where most people still see it as a foreign concept? Not as a trend. Not as something you mention in a presentation just to sound intelligent. But something real. Something capable of moving an economy forward.
That question consumed us...
Public procurement accounts for 8% of economic activity in Tanzania, creating opportunities across construction, supply, consulting, logistics, healthcare, and countless other industries.
But for many businesses, accessing those opportunities remains deeply inefficient. Teams spend hours manually checking procurement portals, reading lengthy tender documents, organizing compliance files, and tracking submissions across spreadsheets, email threads, and disconnected folders.
In many companies, tendering operations depend heavily on a few individuals who know where documents are stored, which tenders are active, and what deadlines matter. When information is scattered, opportunities are missed, submissions become stressful, and growth slows down.
Yet despite all this, tenders remain one of the most important growth channels for businesses across Tanzania.
